SSC also runs a sliding mechanism to fill vacancies to the maximum extent possible where the notified vacancy count isn&#8217;t fully utilized in the first round \u2014 since SSC does not maintain a waiting\/reserve list for multi-factor exams like this one, this sliding process is what accommodates additional candidates where possible.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Once a post is allotted based on your preference, it cannot be changed later \u2014 even if you subsequently fail to meet a post-specific medical, physical, or educational requirement.
