JEE is taken up by students who wish to pursue engineering after school education. NEET is for those who wish to start their career in the medical field as doctors.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JEE\"><\/span>JEE<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>JEE is an engineering entrance examination conducted for admission to various engineering colleges across India. It consists of two exams \u2013 JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The admissions to the twenty-four Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) campuses, thirty-two National Institute if Technology (NIT) campuses, eighteen Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) campuses and nineteen other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFIT) are carried out using the ranks secured in JEE exams. Institutes like\u00a0Indian Institute of Science Education and Research\u00a0(IISERs), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology\u00a0(RGIPT), and\u00a0Indian Institute of Science (IISc) use the score obtained in JEE Advanced alone for admission purposes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.app\/blog\/how-to-prepare-for-jee-main-in-1-month\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to know how to prepare for JEE in one month<\/a><\/p>\n<p>JEE Main examination consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. Students can opt for either or both of them. Both papers contain\u00a0multiple choice questions (MCQs). Paper-I is for admission to B.E.\/B.Tech courses and is conducted in Computer Based Test mode. Paper-II is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses and will also be conducted in Computer Based test mode except for one paper, namely the &#8216;Drawing Test&#8217; which will be conducted in Pen and Paper mode or offline-mode. JEE Main has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year. Paper-1 is of three hours and consists of thirty MCQs in each of the three subjects (physics, chemistry and maths), each subject carrying a maximum of 100 marks. 4 marks are awarded for correct answers and 1 mark is deducted for incorrect answers. The questions asked will be from the physics, chemistry and maths topics from classes 11 and 12.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"NEET\"><\/span>NEET<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>NEET will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS\/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved\/recognized Medical\/Dental &amp; other Colleges\/ Institutes in India. It is a single entrance test for admissions to more than 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India. A total of 180 questions will be asked in the exam, 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry, 90 questions from Biology. Each correct response fetches 4 marks and each incorrect response gets -1 negative marking. The exam duration is 3 hours (180mins). The exam is of 720 marks. When it comes to preparing for these competitive exams, it is better to start sooner. The right time to prepare would be to start from class 9<sup>th<\/sup> onwards.
