The examination was held on 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20st October 2019 and the result came out on 1st November 2019. Those who qualified the prelims are supposed to appear on the mains examination to be held on 30th November 2019. The final stage of the recruitment process-interview-is expected to be held on January or February 2019 and the final list of selected candidates will be released on February 2019. As per the notification, over 4000 vacancies for the posts of probationary officer and management trainee is going to be filled through the recruitment process which comprises three stages namely prelims, mains and interview. Graduation in any course with 60% marks is the qualification required and there is a relaxation of 5% marks for candidates falling under exempt categories. The hiring process comprises three phases.<br \/>\n1) Preliminary exam<br \/>\n2) Main exam<br \/>\n3) Common interview (CI)<br \/>\nBoth the preliminary and main examination is conducted online and those who win these two stages are invited for a common interview. In the preliminary examination, the candidates are expected to score a minimum qualifying mark while their final selection process will be merely based on the marks of main examination and interview. The posting of the candidates can be in any of these 17 banks. The number of candidates who registered for the exam in 2018-2019 was a total of 8.79lakh out of which 6.58lakh candidates appeared for the test.<br \/>\nCompared to the past years, a large number of vacancies have been announced for IBPS PO 2019 recruitment. The exam comprised three sections.<br \/>\n1) Quantitative aptitude<br \/>\n2) Reasoning ability<br \/>\n3) English Language<br \/>\nAll the questions were objective type and each question had five options. The number of questions for the first two papers and the final paper were 35 and 30 respectively and the total mark of the test was 100. Overall difficulty level of the examination based on the feedback of the aspirants was moderate. The expected cut off marks for the IBPS PO Prelims 2019 was around 62-66 for general category.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_after_prelims_exams\"><\/span>What after prelims exams<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. Those who win to hit the cut off marks will be called to appear for the main examination which is to be conducted on November 30\/2019. The admit card will be issued to the successful candidates on November. The mains exams consist of four objective tests and one descriptive test with total marks of 225.<br \/>\nThe challenge you will have to face during the PO examination is probably not the hard nature of the questions but your way of approach towards them because you are supposed to attend a huge number of questions within a given time frame. So time management matters. Go through previous year question papers as many as you can and have a deep understanding on the pattern of question paper. Enhance your logical reasoning abilities. Make use of practice books and do as many exercises as you can.
