The UPSC has earlier scheduled the CSE Prelims to March 31, 2020. Due to the recent pandemic terror, the UPSC has taken a decision to postpone the civil services preliminary exam \u201cuntil further notice\u201d.\u00a0 After reviewing the COVID-19 lockdown situation and restrictions in the country the commission decided that it will be impossible to resume the examinations for the time being. UPSC will have another meeting on May 20, 2020, to assess the fresh situations and the commission may announce the new exam dates after that meeting. Since UPSC uses the same preliminary examination to screen candidates for the Indian Forest Services, that exam too differs from the schedules to accommodate the new changes.
