Passing Kerala SET is a mandatory requirement, as per the Special Rules in force, for candidates who want to be appointed as Higher Secondary School Teachers (HSST) or Non-Vocational Teachers in Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) in Kerala.

In simple terms: if you hold a postgraduate degree and a B.Ed and want to teach at the higher secondary level in Kerala, clearing Kerala SET is one of the boxes you must tick before you’re eligible to apply for those teaching posts.

K-SET STUDY NOTES 2026 – FREE PDF

Who Conducts Kerala SET?

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology conducts Kerala SET on behalf of the Kerala Department of General Education.
