The candidates who want to join National Defense Academy (NDA) have to appear in the entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi. The authority schedules the examination two times within a year in the month of April and September. All the aspirants are suggested to check the prescribed eligibility mentioned here. The details of educational qualification for different posts are specified below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Pass certificate in 10+2 exams via recognized board or a University.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates should have passed Class 12th exam in the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It must be noted that candidates studying in Class 11 are not eligible for appearing in NDA 2020 1 or 2.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those candidates who have failed INSB \/ PABT earlier will not be considered eligible for recruitment in the Air Force.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those candidates, who are currently studying in Class 12 at the time of application, must submit proof of passing the exam by deadline. Puram, New Delhi 110066\u2019 and for Naval Academy candidates to \u2018Naval Headquarters, DMPR, OI&amp;R Section, Room No. 204, \u2018C\u2019 Wing, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi-110011\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"NDA_2020_Physical_Eligibility\"><\/span><strong>NDA 2020 Physical Eligibility<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are certain requirements pertaining to the physical fitness or features that must be fulfilled by the candidate at the time of submitting NDA Application forms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The eligibility would vary slightly according to the post for which candidate is applying.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It must be understood that if a candidate has resigned or withdrawn from any of the training academies of the Armed Forces, on disciplinary grounds, he will not be considered eligible to apply for NDA 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The required physical criteria are listed below.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=me.entri.entrime&amp;referrer=utm_source%3DBlog%26utm_medium%3DEXAM-UPSC-NDA-EXAM-BLOG%26utm_term%3DBLOGTEXT%26utm_campaign%3DPriyanka%20VASHISTHABLOG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download Entri App For Latest Exam Updates<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Undesirable health issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The candidate must not be suffering from any of these minor conditions at the time of medical examination \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wax (Ears)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deviated Nasal Septum<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hydrocele \/ Phimosis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Condition of Overweight \/ Underweight<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under Sized Chest<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Piles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tonsillitis<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gynaecomastia<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Varicocele<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Case of Body Tattoos<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The candidate must ensure that any permanent body tattoos are present only on the inner side of the forearm.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under no circumstances will UPSC accept tattoos on the inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm \/ back (dorsal) side of hand.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are also not acceptable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case the candidate happens to belong to a tribe where it is customary to have tattoo marks on the face or body, acceptance will be granted on a case to case basis, considering the traditions involved. The decision of authorities would be final in such instances.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Height and Weight Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><b>Army and Air Force<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates must note that the minimum height measurement specified is 157 cms (162.5 cms for Air Force).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Gorkhas and those belonging to hills of North-Eastern areas of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum height will be 5 cms less than the usual figure.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, for candidates belonging to Lakshadweep islands, the minimum height standard may be reduced by 2 cms.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The details in this
