In this article, we will discuss BPSC Combined Competitive Exam Syllabus 2020. The candidate needs to clear all the three stages to appear successfully in the merit list of the BPSC exam. The candidates can go through the syllabus and prepare well for the upcoming exam.<\/p>\n<p>Given below is the detailed\u00a0syllabus for BPSC Prelims Exam:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>General Science<\/strong>(General understanding of science, including matters of everyday observation and experience)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Affairs of National\/International importance<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>History of India and Bihar<\/strong>(General understanding of the subject with the broad aspects of the history of Bihar)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Geography of India and Bihar<\/strong>(Questions relating to the physical, social and economic geography of Bihar and India including the main features of Indian agricultural and natural resources)<\/li>\n<li><strong>General geography and geographical division of Bihar and<\/strong>\u00a0its major river systems<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indian polity<\/strong>(Questions will be asked to test the candidate&#8217;s knowledge on the country\u2019s political system, community development, and planning in India and Bihar)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indian economy and the economy of Bihar<\/strong>post independence<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indian Movements and Contribution of Bihar <\/strong>(The candidate will be questioned on the nature and character of the nineteenth century Bihar revival, its attainment of Independence, growth of nationalism, etc)<\/li>\n<li>Questions based on\u00a0<strong>General Mental Ability<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Studying well and practicing some\u00a0<strong>mock test papers<\/strong> will help the candidates in preparing for the BPSC Prelims Exam. The paper is of Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) standard. The paper carries 100 marks and is subjective in nature; the distribution of the marks is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essay: 30 Marks<\/li>\n<li>Grammar: 30 Marks<\/li>\n<li>Syntax: 25 Marks<\/li>\n<li>Summarisation: 15 Marks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates should\u00a0<strong>secure the qualifying marks<\/strong>\u00a0in the paper. For this qualifying paper, a good book of Bihar school standard is enough.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>General Studies <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The BPSC\u00a0<strong>General Studies paper is not just qualifying<\/strong> in nature. The actual BPSC exam starts now with this and the Optional Paper. General Studies has two papers whereas there is one paper on the Optional Subject.
