That&#8217;s what predictive analysis is anyway. Don&#8217;t worry we won&#8217;t use fancy terms like that much.<\/p>\n<p>Now to the meanings, IBPS RRB cut-off is the minimum marks required by candidates to qualify the exam and be allowed to write the next round of selection process. It&#8217;s the passing mark and is declared a few days after the declaration of the result.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Determining_Factors\"><\/span>Determining Factors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The number of vacancies. Higher the number of vacancies, more people employed and hence lower cut off and vice-versa<\/li>\n<li>The difficulty of the exam. This is pretty obvious because you can&#8217;t have a super difficult exam and high cut-off marks, its absurd<\/li>\n<li>The number of turnouts. To ensure that enough people get the cut-off marks if fewer people write the exam, the cut-off marks are lowered<\/li>\n<li>The marks scored by the candidates. What&#8217;s cut-off marks without some statistics?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Need-to-knows_About_The_Cut-Off\"><\/span>Need-to-knows About The Cut-Off<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It is state-wise, category wise and has sectional cut-off. The marks are usually not the same, though they might be similar and by category wise, we mean PO, Office assistant, etc (posts in other words). To predict the upcoming cut-off, you could take the number of vacancies, the number of turnouts and cut-offs of every year and do some math. You might end up with the answer, math is facts and it doesn&#8217;t lie.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the cut-off for preliminary will be a little below average but that doesn&#8217;t mean it will be the same for the mains. Yes, it also differs for every exam (unlike typical cut-offs). Normalisation is applied, the definition says if the question is comparatively harder more marks may be given but here it means harder the question lower the cut-off.<\/p>\n<p>Like we previously mentioned, the sectional cut-off is applicable here i.e., you need to score minimum marks in every paper (subject here as its an online test). The important part is, you need to get the sectional cut-off marks and the overall cut-off marks to clear the exam.<\/p>\n<p>The cut-off marks will be available for download on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibps.in\/\">official IBPS website<\/a> (same website for admit card and results so you might want to bookmark it).<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Expected_Cut-Off\"><\/span>Expected Cut-Off<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The table below doesn&#8217;t give the actual cut-off marks but only the expected, so you get an idea on how to predict it.
