JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. The exam is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). At first, it was called All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) when it began in 2002 and was renamed in April 2013. It offers a chance for those taking up B.Tech, B.Plan or B.Arch to get into reputed colleges. On meritorious seats, if you score high enough.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JEE_Main_Exam_2020\"><\/span><strong>JEE Main Exam 2020<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Every year, the <a href=\"https:\/\/entri.app\/blog\/jee-main-syllabus-and-exam-pattern\/\">JEE-Main exam<\/a> is conducted twice. Once in January and once in April. Of course this year the April session was postponed due to pandemic. The exam scheduled on April 5,7,9 and 11 is postponed to July 19 to 23 along with the NEET exams. JEE Advanced is expected to be held in August, dates of which is not decided yet. You don&#8217;t need to rush to the library to get guide books, stay at home. Learn through the <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=me.entri.entrime&amp;referrer=utm_source%3DBlog%26utm_medium%3DJEE-MAIN-BLOG%26utm_term%3DBLOGTEXT%26utm_campaign%3DNAZANBLOG\">Entri app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is a computer-based test (CBT) mainly but there is an exception for drawing in the B.Arch course. It is very selective and the questions will be moderate. It&#8217;s not that difficult to pass or score above average. The difficulty is getting in the top 2.5 lakh scorers. Higher the rank, better chance of you getting your favourite\/dream institute. start prepping as early as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Its a 3 hour paper with 75 questions and 300 marks for B.Tech, 77 questions and 400 marks for B.Arch and 100 questions and 400 marks for B.Plan. It&#8217;s simple. Much simpler than some people make it seem.<\/p>\n<p>The elders that tell you &#8220;JEE is very difficult, you cant crack it&#8221; are not trying to degrade you. As Bruce Lee once said, &#8220;It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war&#8221;. The point is, be prepared for the worst of the worst questions, even if they won&#8217;t appear. Also, don&#8217;t get disheartened because some parents make it like cracking JEE is everything. It isn&#8217;t. They just want you to have a good life and maybe fulfil they&#8217;re dream of wanting to be an IIT\/NIT student. An exam is not everything and the belief that it is everything, revolves around JEE and NEET a lot and it&#8217;s a wrong notion.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JEE_Main_2020_Eligibility\"><\/span><strong>JEE Main 2020 Eligibility<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>There are 1610 accepting colleges. These colleges consider your <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=me.entri.entrime&amp;referrer=utm_source%3DBlog%26utm_medium%3DJEE-MAIN-BLOG%26utm_term%3DBLOGTEXT%26utm_campaign%3DNAZANBLOG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JEE<\/a> marks for admission as well as your second PU marks. You have to pass 12th-grade to be able to write the exam.<\/li>\n<li>Those who passed their 12th-grade exam in 2018, 2019 and 2020 may write the JEE 2020. 2017 and before as well as 2021 and after cannot write this year&#8217;s exam.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate must have taken at least 5 subjects in their 12th-grade along with passing.<\/li>\n<li>To write the exam, the minimum marks required is 75 per cent or top 20 percentile in the grade 12 exam conducted by respective Boards. For reserved candidates, the minimum is 65 per cent.<\/li>\n<li>The NTA follows the &#8220;three strikes and you&#8217;re out&#8221; principle. Meaning, a candidate is only allowed to write the exam for 3 consecutive years. That&#8217;s 6 tries because of the &#8220;twice a year&#8221; schedule. Miss it the first time? Try again. Plenty of space and time for improvement.<\/li>\n<li>The admit card for the exam was supposed to be given out earlier but like most plans, COVID-19 caused a postpone and the date for release will be declared after April 15. The admit card will be found on their official website, you just have to download it and print a few copies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JEE_Main_2020_Syllabus\"><\/span><strong>JEE Main 2020 Syllabus<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The JEE syllabus is quite simple. Mathematics is common for all three of the papers. The other subjects are physics, chemistry, aptitude and drawing.
