In short, we can say it is an initiative aimed at transforming India into a global superpower. The initiative was officially announced on 25th September 2014. The initiative is led by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) which is entrusted with the duty of promoting the foreign direct investment and monitoring ease of doing business. The Make in India program has four major pillars namely:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Infrastructure<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Sectors<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Mindset.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_in_India_Program_%E2%80%93_New_Processes\"><\/span><strong>Make in India Program \u2013 New Processes<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first pillar new process simply implies the ease of doing business. If India wants to get new processes the ease of doing business should be increased over here. The ease of doing business means how easy a start-up or business or any foreign direct investment can be initiated or drawn in the country. The major aim or objective in this first pillar is to de-licence and de regulate the industrial sector for increasing the ease of doing business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ease of doing business has been identified by the EDOB index which is introduced by the World Bank Group. It consists of 301 reform points across 15 areas. The Atmanirbhar Abhiyaan (Self Reliant India) which is a comprehensive economic package announced by the finance ministry in accordance with the covid 19 pandemic crisis has been enabling the ease of doing business by infusing liquidity into the market. The five pillars of the <strong>Atmanirbhar Abhiyaan<\/strong> such as economy, infrastructure, system, demography and demand also increase the ease of doing business as part of the Mae in India program.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_in_India_Program_%E2%80%93_New_Infrastructure\"><\/span><strong>Make in India Program &#8211; New Infrastructure<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infrastructure means the physical as well as the structural requirements to attract investments. It includes creation of new industrial corridors, smart cities and other infrastructure facilities. The government will collaborate with the private sector in order to develop the infrastructure for the Make in India program. Infrastructure projects under NIP will receive an equal share of capital expenditure from the part of centre and state each of 39% contributing to a total of 78% and the rest 22% will be upon the private players.
