It was a historic movement involving millions of people all of who wanted India to be free from the clutches of the British. The fight for freedom took years and lives of many people. When we look back into the Indian Freedom Movement, we recall some of the familiar names at the top of the list.This includes, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh, etc. However, all of the leaders did not necessarily follow the same principle in their struggle for freedom. There were some freedom fighters who believed in ahimsa (non violence) and some others who believed in revolutionary methods. In the end, all of these freedom fighters worked hard for one common goal, which was the Indian Independence. In this article, let us go through the List of Revolutionary Freedom Fighters of India. Struggles for the Indian Independence were seen arising from every nook and corner of the country. During such a phase in the Indian history, massive impact was made by the Freedom Fighters who tirelessly worked for Indian Independence. Each of the freedom fighters motivated and influenced millions of fellow Indians to raise their voices for freedom of the nation. Moreover, they educated the masses about their rights and duties towards their motherland, ultimately leading to India\u2019s Independence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_is_a_Revolutionary_Freedom_Fighter\"><\/span><strong>Who is a Revolutionary Freedom Fighter ?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By now, we already know that we are what we are because of the sacrifices made by the freedom Fighters during the struggle for Indian Independence. Meanwhile, it is to be noted that not all the freedom fighters followed the same method during the freedom movement. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the freedom fighters believed in revolutionary methods in order to set the country free from the British.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we go on to define the word \u2018revolutionary\u2019, it refers to someone who takes part in a resistance movement against an oppressive force or government. fighters of India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rash Behari Bose<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rash Behari Bose was born on 25 May 1886 in West Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He led numerous revolutionary fights against the British rule.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was the lead organizer of Ghadar Mutiny.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAzad Hind Fauj\u201d also called the Indian National Army was set up by Rash behari Bose. He later handed over the complete leadership to Subash Chandra bose.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Behari Bose was the chief founder of Indian Independence League.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Japanese Government honoured him with the order of the land of the rising sun.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died of Tuberculosis on 21st January\u00a0 in the year 1945.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Khudiram Bose<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kudiram Bose was born on 3rd\u00a0 December 1889 in Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Famously known for the Muzaffarpur Conspiracy Case.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is known to be the second\u00a0 youngest Indian Revolutionary Freedom Fighter, who was hanged at the age of 18.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Khudiram was an active member of a revolutionary party in Bengal called \u2018JUGANTAR\u2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He actively fought against the British during the partition of Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The British arrested him for a bomb attack case and sentenced him to be executed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was hanged to death on August 11, 1908, aged 18 years, 8 months, and 11 days,10 hours old .<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Chandra Shekhar Azad<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chandra Shekhar Tiwari was born on 23rd July 1906 at Alirajpur.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was an active socialist revolutionary fighter.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chandra Shekar Tiwari later adopted the surname \u201cAzad\u201d which means \u201cfree\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He reorganized Hindustan Republican Association (HRA) as Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He escaped the arrest involved in the Kakori Train Dacoity case.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As brave a person he was, he chose himself to die rather than surrender to the British on 27 Feb 1931, aged 24, during an encounter in Alfred Park, Allahabad.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Bhagat Singh<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bhagat Singh was born in September 1907 at Punjab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To avenge the killing of Lala Lajpat Rai, Bhagat Singh along with Rajguru shot dead Colonel Sanders mistakenly for James Scott.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was involved in the restructuring of Hindustan Republican Association to Hindustan Socialist Republican Association.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bhagat Singh along with\u00a0 Batukeshwar Dutt is known for throwing bombs at the Legislative Assembly Chamber in Delhi in the year 1929.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was hanged on 23rd\u00a0 March 1931, at the youn age of\u00a0 23 years , along with Rajguru and Sukhdev at Lahore Jail.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Ram Prasad Bismil<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ram rasad Bismil was born at Shahjahanpur on 11th June 1897.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He co-founded the Hindustan Republican Association together with Sachindranath Sanyal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is known for the Mainpuri Conspiracy of 1918 as well as the Kakori Train Conspiracy of 1925.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beautiful patriotic poetry writing was one of his charms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The famous poem <\/span><b>\u2018Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was penned by Ram Prasad Bismil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was sentenced to execution by the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was hanged to death on 19 Dec 1927 by the British, at the age of 30 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a Sunam, Udham Singh was a revolutionist.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was a major part of the Ghadar Party.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is known for the assassination (on 13th March 1940) of\u00a0 the former lieutenant governor of Punjab, Michael O&#8217;Dwyer, who was responsible for the Jallian Wala bagh Massacre.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Udham Singh adopted the Surname Ram Mohammad Singh Azad, that depicts all three major religions of Punjab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was hanged to death by the British on 31st July 1940.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Sachindranath Sanyal<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sachindranath was born in the year 1893 at Benaras.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was the mentor and role model to several revolutionists including Chandra Shekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sachindranath Sanyal founded the Hindustan Republican Association (HSA).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He wrote the famous book \u201cBandi Jeevan\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sanyal was jailed for life in the cellular jail at Andaman for Kakori Train Dacoity Conspiracy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was one of the masterminds in the Ghadar conspiracy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died on 6th February 1943 after being infected with Tuberculosis.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Ashfaqullah Khan<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ashfaqullah was born at Shahjahanpur on 22nd October 1900.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The revolutionary mind in Khan awakened by the formation of Hindustan Republican Association.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was majorly involved in the Kakori Train Dacoity Conspiracy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along with Bismil, Rajendra Lahiri and Thakur Roshan Singh, Ashfaqullah Khan was given a death sentence by the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was hanged to death at Faizabad Jail on 19th December 1927.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Lala Hardayal Mathur<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Born on 14th October 1884 at Delhi, Lala Hardayal Mathur was a nationalist revolutionary leader.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He turned down his career in civil service to concentrate on the freedom movement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hardayal Mathur formed the Ghadar Party in 1913 in America.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He had a vast knowledge in various topics and authored many famous books including Our Educational Problem, Bodhisattva Doctrines, Thoughts on Education, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died on 4th March 1939 , at the age of 54.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Madan Lal Dhingra<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Madan Lal was born on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">18th September 1883 at Amritsar in Punjab.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is known for assassinating Sir William Hutt Curzon Wyllie in London on 01 Jul 1909.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just a month later, on August 17th 1909, British.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Madame Bhikaji Cama<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Madam Cama was born on 24th September 1861 at Navsari.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the International Socialist Conference held in Germany, she unfurled the Indian National Flag for the first time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was known as India&#8217;s First Cultural representative to the United States.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After participating in many revolutionary ideals to free India, she died on 13th August 1936 at Bombay.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Jatin Das<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jatindra Nath Das commonly known as Jatin Das was born on 27th October 1904.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was an active member of\u00a0 Anushilan Samiti, a revolutionary organization based in Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was arrested for his activities and was imprisoned.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the prison, he demanded equal treatment to all inmates and went on a 63 day long hunger strike that turned out to be fatal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died on\u00a0 13th September 1929 as an aftermath of the hunger strike.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The death of Jatin Das was an eye opener to the people against illegal imprisonment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Vasudev Balwant Phadke<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vasudev was born on 4th November 1845 at Shirdhon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is known as the \u201cFather of Indian Armed Rebellion\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He formed a revolutionary group by accumulating the Ramoshi people.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phadke was the co-founder of\u00a0 Poona Native Institution (PNI), which is now known as Maharashtra Education Society (MES).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died of hunger strike on 17th February 1883 after being imprisoned by the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Sachindra Bakshi<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bakshi was born on 25th December 1904 at Varanasi.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was one of the founders of the Hindustan Republican Association which later went to be known as Hindustan Socialist Republican Association.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the Kakori Train Robbery Case, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died on 23rd November 1984 at the age of 79 in born on 7 January 1892 at Ratnagiri in India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He worked for many secret revolutionary organizations during his stay in Bombay.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anant assassinated the then Commissioner of Bombay, Mr Jackson on 21st December 1909.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was convicted and hanged to death on 19th April 1909 at Thane prison.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Rani Gaidinliu<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rani Gaidinliu was born on 26th January 1915 at Manipur.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She joined the Heraka Movement at the young age of 13 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the leader of the Heraka Movement, Jadonang , was hanged by the British, Rani Gaidinliu led the organization .<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She actively fought against the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 17th February 1993. She breathed her last at the age of 78.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Manmath Nath Gupta<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was born in the year 1908 on 7 February at Varanasi.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nath has authored many revolutionary books in Bengali, Hindi and English languages.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the age of 13, he became one of the youngest active members of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0For his role in the Kakori Train incident, he was imprisoned by the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He breathed his last at the age of 92 on 26 October 2000 at his residence in Delhi.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Bagha Jatin<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jatindranath Mukherjee, commonly known as Bagha Jain was born in Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He led the organization named \u2018JUGANTAR\u2019 in Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along with Barinde Ghosh, he set up a bomb factory in Deoghar.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was involved in the Howrah-Shibpur conspiracy case.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 10th September 1915 Jatin died of wounds from an attack with the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Krishnaji Gopal Karve<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gopal Karve was born in 1887 at Nashik.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was an active member of Abhinav Bharat Society.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was involved in the asssassination of Jackson, the Collector of Nashik.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The British convicted and hanged him to death on 19th April 1910 at Thane Prison.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.sng.link\/Bcofz\/yv45\/8wer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Get Higher Rank in Competitive Exams! Download the App Now!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Batukeshwar Dutt<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The revolutionary freedom fighter Batukeshwar Dutt was born on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">18th November 1910 at Khandaghosh.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Widely known as B.K Dutt , he was a contemporary of Bhagath Singh.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He helped Bhagat Singh to throw bombs at the Legislative Assembly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died on 20th July 1965 after a prolonged illness.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Alluri Sitarama Raju<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alluri was born on 4th July 1897 at Madras.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1922, he led the Rampa rebellion against the British.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was shot dead by the British on 07th May 1924, after an attack spree.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Sri Aurobindo Ghosh<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the greatest national leaders of his times, Sri Aurobindo Ghosh was born on 15th\u00a0 August 1872 at Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was a spiritual and social leader to the masses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was in the forefront to establish the Anushilan Samiti.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even though he was a supporter of non violence in public, Sri Aurobindo had a heart towards the revolutionary freedom movement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He died on 5th December 1950 at Pondicherry.
