The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board’s (UPPRPB) Assistant Sub Inspector recruitment 2021 notification was out in May 2021. Since the application window is closed, we can expect the initial screening or the written exam phase in the next couple of months. Earlier this year the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) was published the application notification for the recruitment of 1329 posts of Sub Inspector (Confidential), Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk), and Assistant Sun Inspector (Account). Among them, 1002 vacant posts were for the Uttar Pradesh Police Assistant Sub Inspector cader. The last UP Police ASI open recruitment was against the 2016 recruitment notification for the same. Against the 2016 notification, the recruitment board had received around 5 lakhs applications against mere 305 vacant positions. Having this sort of large difference between the number of available positions and the received applications, the success rate in the recruitment is very low making the cut-off scores in each phase having a rapid rise on each passing year.<\/p>\n

Since all other screening stages are of qualifying nature the applicant’s selection will depend on their performance in the written exam. Since the written exam is 400 marks, one must have at least 275+ in his\/ her UP Police ASI marks to stand any chance for the further screening phases. On every recruitment cycle the UP Police ASI Cut off marks will depend upon the vacant positions, and the number of applications received, and considering the large rush in the applications we can expect this year’s cut-off scores around 268-273.
