class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The National Defense Academy (NDA) is one of the prestigious joint defense service training institutes of the Indian Armed Forces, where eligible candidates of the three services that are, the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force train together before they enroll on to their respective service academy for future pre-commission training.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The NDA is situated in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra.<\/li>\n<li>It is the first Tri-service academy in the world.<\/li>\n<li>The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts this national level exam twice every year.<\/li>\n<li>The NDA has produced 27 chiefs of staff to date. At present, the chief of staff of all three services is NDA alumni.<\/li>\n<li>The NDA provides only a full-time, residential undergraduate program.<\/li>\n<li>The recruited candidates\u00a0 are awarded a Baccalaureate degree ,a Bachelor of Arts\u00a0or a\u00a0Bachelor of Science)\u00a0and a B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree for Naval Cadets after 3 years of study.<\/li>\n<li>The Naval cadets complete their fourth year of BTECH from Indian Naval Academy.<\/li>\n<li>The Cadets further have a choice of two streams of study.<\/li>\n<li>The Science\u00a0stream offers studies in\u00a0physics,\u00a0chemistry,\u00a0mathematics\u00a0and\u00a0computer science.<\/li>\n<li>The Liberal Arts or the Humanities stream offers studies in history,\u00a0economics,\u00a0political science,\u00a0geography\u00a0and\u00a0languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Academics and Training:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Listed below are few pointers that states important insights regarding the academics and training aspects of the NDA examination.
