This is pay level 4 as per 7<sup>th<\/sup> Central Pay Commission. Apart from this, the employee gets allowances as approved by the government. The allowances are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dearness Allowance (DA)<\/li>\n<li>House Rent Allowance (HRA)<\/li>\n<li>Travel Allowance (TA)<\/li>\n<li>Other Allowances, PF, NPS, Income Tax<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The value of these allowances will be according to the government rules.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ESIC_UDC_Promotion\"><\/span><strong>ESIC UDC Promotion<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>ESIC UDC recruits eligible candidates through a three stage selection process. It consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prelims<\/li>\n<li>Main<\/li>\n<li>Computer skill test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the prelims and mains, candidates can expect questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. In the computer skill test, they will be tested for their skills in using MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel. Candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks in both the prelims and mains. Once they serve for three continuous years, the candidates are eligible for promotion.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>promotion hierarchy<\/strong> is as follows : Upper Division Clerk, Assistant, Social Security Assistant.<\/p>\n<p>After three years of service as an Upper Division Clerk, employees can be promoted as an <strong>Assistant<\/strong> with an initial grade pay of Rs 4200.
