(TA). With more experience, the compensation of IAS officers will climb. The Cabinet Secretary&#8217;s basic salary is Rs. 2,50,000. A DA, HRA, and TA are all available to IAS officers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>HRA (House Rent Allowances)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The HRA ranges from 8% to 24% of the basic salary. If you live in official housing, however, the HRA amount will not be credited to your paycheck.<\/li>\n<li>The HRA is also determined by the city in which the candidates are placed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #1d1f20; font-size: 1.563em;\">DA (Dearness Allowances)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the case of DA, this portion is linked to inflation, as recommended by the 7th Pay Commission. It&#8217;s also worth noting that in 2015, DA for IAS Officers grew by 107 percent of their basic salary. As a result, the DA portion will see a large growth in the future.<\/li>\n<li>On a six-monthly basis, DA is increased (in January and July every year). The increase in DA would be in accordance with the inflation rate (CPI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #1d1f20; font-size: 1.563em;\">TA (Travel Allowances)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Travel Allowances (TA) will be used to cover a variety of travel expenses.<\/li>\n<li>If an IAS officer is given a government vehicle, however, he or she does not receive any TA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The government employment that the IAS Officer is involved in helps him or her in a variety of ways.
