This questions asked based on the passage will be to test the candidates&#8217; ability to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read and comprehend the main point discussed in the passage, as well as any arguments and viewpoints discussed or set out in the passage;<\/li>\n<li>Draw inferences and conclusions based on the passage;<\/li>\n<li>Summarize the passage;<\/li>\n<li>Compare and contrast the different arguments or viewpoints set out in the passage; and<\/li>\n<li>Understand the meaning of various words and phrases used in the passage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Current Affairs Including General Knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section will be consist of passages from news, journalistic sources and other non-fiction writing of about 450 words each. This questions asked based on the passage will test the candidates&#8217; awareness of various aspects of current affairs and general knowledge, including<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contemporary events of significance from India and the world<\/li>\n<li>Arts and culture<\/li>\n<li>International affairs<\/li>\n<li>Historical events of continuing significance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Legal Reasoning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section will be consist of passages related to fact situations or scenarios involving legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical enquiries. Prior knowledge of law is not required. The passage requires candidates to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and infer the rules and principles set out in the passage<\/li>\n<li>Apply such rules and principles to various fact situations<\/li>\n<li>Understand how changes to the rules or principles may alter their application to various fact situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Logical Reasoning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section will consist of short passages of about 300 words each. This requires candidates to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognize an argument, its premises and conclusions<\/li>\n<li>Read and identify the arguments set out in the passage<\/li>\n<li>Critically analyze patterns of reasoning, and assess how conclusions may depend on particular premises or evidence;<\/li>\n<li>Infer what follows from the passage and apply these inferences to new situations<\/li>\n<li>Draw relationships and analogies, identify contradictions and equivalence, and assess the effectiveness of arguments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quantitative Techniques<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section will include short sets of facts or propositions, graphs, or other textual, pictorial or diagrammatic representations of numerical information, followed by a series of questions. The exam will contain extracts from primary legal materials such as important court decisions in various fields of law, statutes or regulations. It will be on 19th June 2022 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The exam will be for a maximum of 150 marks and the duration of the exam will be two hours. The question paper will consist of 150 multiple choice questions of one mark each.
