Along with other Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav efforts, this programme was launched with the main goal of boosting security in Jammu&#8217;s border areas.<\/p>\n<p>A defense-related programme for the state of Jammu &amp; Kashmir was started on August 14. The Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and this campaign were both started simultaneously to strengthen security in Jammu&#8217;s border areas. According to the authorities, starting on August 15th, the village Defence card will be responsible for maintaining communal infrastructure and utilities inside the boundaries of their village. The method will be applied to the chosen individuals at all hours of the day and night in order to protect their communities from terrorists in particular. State of J&amp;K and Ors with clubbed matters and communication no. Under this, the Indian Army and Police were involved in providing training to the volunteers of the communities. As part of this program, firearms were provided to the VDCs and they were ordered to protect the most vulnerable villages located in the hilly areas of the Jammu region. Rifles were used to defend their communities against other acts of terrorism. Under which the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police were assisted by the members of the VDG, not the fight against terrorism. It has long been the desire of the members of VDCs that the committee chair is more structured and more options are issued on their payment.<\/p>\n<p>The Indian Army and the Police participated in this programme, which was formerly known as the Village Defense Committee, by providing training to volunteers from villages. With a focus on protecting the most vulnerable villages in Jammu&#8217;s mountainous regions, VDCs were provided with weapons as part of this project, which they used to defend their communities from terrorist acts and other associated activities.<\/p>\n<p>In their battle against terrorism, VDC members have supported the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army. The VDC members have long wanted that this committee would be more well-organized and that they would have a voice in decisions that would have an impact on their salary.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Village_Defence_Guards_Scheme_J_K-_Benefits\"><\/span><strong>Village Defence Guards Scheme J&amp;K- Benefits<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The scheme organizes a small group of volunteer armed civilians in designated villages along the borders and in-depth areas of the Jammu division to promote self-defense, ensure the safety and security of these villages, the infrastructure installations in and around them, and control cross-border movement.<\/li>\n<li>The Village Defence Guards would be in charge of patrolling during the day and night and securing village infrastructure and communal buildings.<\/li>\n<li>Given the security situation in Jammu &amp; Kashmir UT, particularly in the regions, it was crucial to alter the current strategy in order to prevent terrorist activities that were inspired and supported from across the border and to improve the security grid in the Union Territory.<\/li>\n<li>This group, which consists of no more than 15 people in a single section, patrols only one area both during the day and at night.<\/li>\n<li>VDGs will be split into two groups: those who have a valid license to possess weapons and who have weapons provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and those who have a license, weapons, or are willing to purchase weapons.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;Village Defence Group&#8221; will be the name of the new organisation, and a former Army general will be in charge of it.<\/li>\n<li>The group members&#8217; list of applications will be carefully considered by the district administration, who will select a candidate who will provide their time and effort voluntarily.<\/li>\n<li>The first category would receive rupees 4500 per month per person, while the second group, which would consist of those who voluntarily join the village Defence organisation, would receive a uniform monthly payment of rupees 4000.<\/li>\n<li>In &#8220;vulnerable zones,&#8221; village chowkidars and Lumberdars will support village Defence groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.sng.link\/Bcofz\/yv45\/8wer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Attempt Free GK Mock test ! Another object of the scheme is to provide self-protection and security in villages that are near the border.\u00a0This squad&#8217;s objective is to assemble a small group of volunteers from the villages&#8217; armies, especially from those in the border and interior areas of the Jammu division. Another objective of the proposal is to provide bordering villages with protection and self-defense.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, this monarch&#8217;s main goal will be to protect and keep an eye on these border settlements both during the day and at night by recruiting volunteer guards to do so. Longtime VDC members have urged that this committee be given more structure and that they be provided some options for compensation.
