From there, start routing out water supply, drainage and venting and check for any clashes with the structural beams and electrical conduits early on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s a lot harder to make changes to the plumbing layout once the building&#8217;s going up. Which software tools are most important for the MEP trade in 2026?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For now, Revit MEP is still the industry standard for 3D modeling and getting all the different trades working together on the same page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Navisworks is the go-to for clash detection (which is never a bad thing) and BIM 360 is where you want to be for cloud-based collaboration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AutoCAD&#8217;s still got a place for 2D drafting and legacy project files. Being familiar with AI-assisted clash detection might be nice to have, but it&#8217;s not a must have, yet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>9. It is an ongoing process that needs to be checked regularly.
