The OET exam is accepted by healthcare professionals who are looking to work or study in the healthcare sector in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Maldives, Malta, Namibia, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America. The exam evaluates the language proficiency of healthcare professionals in four key aspects:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking:<\/strong> Candidates have to engage in a profession-specific role-play, with the interlocutor playing as your patient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listening:<\/strong> This includes\u00a0listening assessments based on patient consultations and lectures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading: <\/strong>Candidates have to read and understand different types of texts based on a variety of healthcare professions and subjects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing: <\/strong>It includes a writing task specific to your profession such as a document of referral, advice or a letter.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0OET scores range from 0-500 and a grade is awarded for the numeric score you obtained from A to E, where A is the highest grade and E is the lowest grade. The required score is subject to the decision of the concerned authority, however, the minimum score that one has to avail is very commonly set at 350- Grade B.<\/p>\n<p>Once the tests are done, you can access your results on the official website of OET. The results are generally generated after (approximately)16 business days from when you appeared for a specific subtest. Candidates have to complete the registration process and select test dates. OET has two types of tests, paper-based and online. You can register for the four sections or retake any of the sections. OET exam fees for the test center and home edition are the same. It can be paid through a valid credit or debit card. You must pay the OET exam fee when you register for the exam. It is better to ensure that the organization you will be sharing your results with accepts scores from individual sub-tests tests \/ less than a full test.<\/p>\n<p>You can cancel your OET Test for a refund up to one week before test day for OET on Paper or two days before the test for OET on Computer at a venue or OET@Home.
