And if we overstock on anything, that just means money that could be going towards patient care is instead being wasted.<\/p>\n<p>And let&#8217;s not forget the money bit &#8211; non-labor expenses like supplies and drugs just keep going up &amp; up &amp; up &#8211; and we have very little control over it. Effectively managing our supplies can give us a much tighter grip on our costs by buying smarter, cutting waste, and keeping our inventory levels just right.<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s not just about the money &#8211; the clinical impact is just as important. When we&#8217;ve got the supplies we need, and they&#8217;re coming in the right way, we can get back to what matters: helping patients.
