Hence, PwS candidates are entitled to certain reservations under section 34 of \u2018The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Reservation under IBPS Clerk eligibility covers candidates from the following categories:<\/p>\n<p><b>Orthopedic Challenged Category (OC)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Any person who is unable to execute distinctive activities resulting from affliction of the nervous system or musculoskeletal or both comes under the OC category.<\/p>\n<p>Orthopedic Challenged categories include the candidate suffering from the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cerebral Palsy<\/li>\n<li>Dwarfism<\/li>\n<li>Acid Attack Victims<\/li>\n<li>Leprosy Cured Person<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OC category candidates are covered under reservation for locomotor disability with the following benchmark:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OL -One leg affected (Right or Left)<\/li>\n<li>OA \u2013 One arm affected (Right or Left)<\/li>\n<li>BL \u2013 Both legs affected but not arms<\/li>\n<li>OAL \u2013 One arm and One leg affected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The person with OA and OAL categories should have normal hand functions.<\/p>\n<p><b>Visually Impaired Person Category [IV]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Visually Impaired category [IV] person who suffers from the below-mentioned problems meet the IBPS Clerk eligibility.<\/p>\n<p>Blindness<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visual acuity less than 3\/60 or less than 10\/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with best possible correction; OR<\/li>\n<li>The total absence of sight; OR<\/li>\n<li>Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of fewer than 10 degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Low Vision<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of less than 40 degrees up to 10 degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Hearing Impaired Person<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any person having 70 decibels hearing loss in speech frequencies in both ears.<\/li>\n<li>Any person having 60- 70 decibels hearing loss in speech frequencies in both ears.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Intellectual Disability [ID] category<\/b><\/p>\n<p>People suffering from the below-mentioned problems come under this category and are eligible to apply for the IBPS clerk exam.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mental Illness<\/li>\n<li>Specific Learning Disability<\/li>\n<li>Autism Spectrum Disorder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates who wish to avail the benefit of reservation under the PwD category will have to submit a disability certificate as per guidelines of the Government of India issued by a competent authority.
