The examination is conducted online.<\/p>\n<p>Official IBPS SO notification is out for the year 2018-19 and the time for submitting the online applications have started. The exam is going to take place in 3 steps-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Preliminary exam(29<sup>th<\/sup> and 30<sup>th<\/sup> December 2018),<\/li>\n<li>The Mains exam(27<sup>th<\/sup> January 2019) and finally<\/li>\n<li>The interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The eligible candidates are to be selected to various posts like-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agriculture Field Officer<\/li>\n<li>Marketing Officer (Scale 1)<\/li>\n<li>HR\/ Personnel Officer<\/li>\n<li>IT Officer (Scale 1)<\/li>\n<li>Law Officer<\/li>\n<li>Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale 1)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><u>IMPORTANT DATES<\/u><\/h5>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3047&#8243;]\n<h5><u>VACANCY<\/u><\/h5>\n<p>The official notification of IBPS SO has declared 1590+ vacancies this year. The post wise total number of vacancies are-<\/p>\n<p><u>[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3137&#8243;]<\/u><\/p>\n<h5><u>ELIGIBILITY<\/u><\/h5>\n<p>Three parameters that the candidates need to fulfill to be eligible for IBPS SO 2018 exam are- citizenship, age limit and educational qualification.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>\u00a0Citizenship Criteria<\/strong><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>A resident of India or<\/li>\n<li>A subject of Nepal (eligibility certificate should be issued by the Government of India) or<\/li>\n<li>A subject of Bhutan (eligibility certificate should be issued by the Government of India) or<\/li>\n<li>A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India(eligibility certificate should be issued by the Government of India) \u00a0or<\/li>\n<li>A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan,\u00a0 \u00a0East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India (eligibility certificate should be issued by the Government of India).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: 1rem;\">Educational qualification and Age limit<\/strong><\/p>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3051&#8243;]\n<h6><strong>Age relaxation<\/strong><\/h6>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3052&#8243;]\n<h5>\u00a0<u>EXAM PATTERN<\/u><\/h5>\n<p>Important things to note about the exam pattern published by IBPS this year is that-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The exam is being conducted in three stages and,<\/li>\n<li>The introduction of sectional timing for Prelims<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><strong>Prelims Exam Pattern<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><strong>Law Officer &amp; Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)<\/strong><\/p>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3053&#8243;]\n<p><strong>IT Officer (Scale I), Agricultural Field Officer, HR\/ Personnel Officer &amp; Marketing Officer (Scale I)<\/strong><\/p>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3055&#8243;]\n<h6><strong>Mains Exam Pattern<\/strong><\/h6>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3056&#8243;]\n<p><strong>Rajbhasha Adhikari\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the Rajbhasha Adhikari post, the professional Knowledge paper is divided into two sections and the Maximum Marks for this paper is 60.<\/p>\n[ninja_tables id=&#8221;3057&#8243;]\n<h5><u>SYLLABUS <\/u><\/h5>\n<p>The IBPS conducts the recruitment to the Specialist Officer post in three steps. The first two steps are written exams conducted online and the final step is an Interview conducted by the IBPS along with all participating bodies on the basis of the marks obtained for the written exams.<\/p>\n<p>The IBPS SO syllabus is different for both preliminary and mains examinations. Exam pattern for the Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari post is different from that set for all the other Specialist Officer posts.<\/p>\n<p>A candidate needs to have proficient knowledge in his\/her area of expertise. It will remain open until November 26.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ibpsonline.ibps.in\/crpspl8nov18\/\"> Go directly to the site for applying for IBPS SO 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<h5><u>SELECTION PROCESS<\/u><\/h5>\n<p>The selection process involves qualifying the three-tier exams starting with the Online Preliminary Exam.<\/p>\n<p>On qualifying the Preliminary Exam by clearing the cut-off mark set by IBPS, the candidate gets selected to attend the Online Mains Examination. The Preliminary exam is out of a total of 125 marks and Mains is out of 60.<\/p>\n<p>The marks of the Preliminary exam are of qualifying nature and are not counted for the final merit list.
