Here, we write the 2 possible signs of each variable anyways, like plus or minus, in our rough sheet.<\/p>\n<p>We must find the possible values of the variables. Remember, from the 2 symbols (+ or -) derived from the master table, the first symbol connects to the bigger value, and the second symbol connects to the smaller value, numerically.<\/p>\n<p>Example :-<\/p>\n<p>x2 \u2013 12x + 32 = 0<\/p>\n<p>y2 \u2013 7y + 12 = 0<\/p>\n<p>The question\u2019s symbols are -, + which means both values will be positive for each variable, x and y.<\/p>\n<p>x2 \u2013 4x \u2013 8x + 32 = 0<\/p>\n<p>X (x \u2013 4) \u2013 4 (x \u2013 8) = 0<\/p>\n<p>X = 4, X = 8<\/p>\n<p>y2 \u2013 7y + 12 = 0<\/p>\n<p>y2 \u2013 4y \u2013 3y + 12 = 0<\/p>\n<p>y (y \u2013 4) \u2013 3 (y \u2013 4) = 0<\/p>\n<p>Y= 4, Y = 4<\/p>\n<p>So, X &gt;= Y<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it!
