They conduct various exams to provide jobs into public sector banks. The exam is conducted similarly to SBI and RBI even though both have their exams. A bank job is considered to be of high prestige and that is why more and more people apply for it every exam. Due to the ever-increasing number of participants, the competition only gets more difficult and the vacancy doesn&#8217;t increase as per the candidate amount.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"IBPS_Exams\"><\/span>IBPS Exams<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>IBPS conducts 4 different exams. Namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.app\/blog\/ibps-po-syllabus-and-exam-pattern\/\">IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) Exam<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.app\/blog\/ibps-so-scorecard\/\">IBPS SO (Specialist Officer) Exam<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.app\/blog\/ibps-clerk-result\/\">IBPS Clerk Exam<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/entri.app\/blog\/ibps-rrb-posting-location-and-participating-rrbs\/\">IBPS RRB (Rural Regional Bank) Exam<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Challenges_and_Reasons\"><\/span>Challenges and Reasons<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Most candidates fail the IBPS PO exam because the number of applicants is tremendously high, exceeding the number of vacancies by a huge margin&#8230; Isn&#8217;t it obvious this is the reason? The most common misconception is that &#8220;the exam was difficult&#8221; but in fact, the exam just shows the minimum that you have to qualify for. It&#8217;s only to check if you have the required skills\/abilities or not. This is where the concept of percentile is involved.<\/p>\n<p>Percentile is the grade given that shows how many other candidates you have outperformed. CBSE class 10 marks card shows a grade based on your percentile. So it&#8217;s possible that someone scores 85% and still get 100 percentile because nobody else got higher than 85.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are also cases where the candidate has the required set of abilities but still fail to qualify. The reasons here are simple. The inadequate mock practice is one. Taking plenty of mock tests help a lot to improve your score. It is the best way to get used to the exam pressure.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few more points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most candidates still rely on books as a source of preparation. Outdated books. Just because the book helped someone a few years ago doesn&#8217;t mean it can help you too.<\/li>\n<li>Most candidates spend a lot of time reading newspapers. Make reading newspapers a daily thing and not as as a &#8220;study&#8221; thing. Online resources are better.<\/li>\n<li>Most candidates underestimate the power of the internet.<\/li>\n<li>Most candidates waste time overthinking about the competition and asking silly questions on forums. This is very true. Rather than preparing for the exam, people go around asking questions.<\/li>\n<li>Most candidates take the exam unprepared or don&#8217;t go with a proper strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Others focus on quantity rather quality<\/li>\n<li>Most candidates fail to understand that accuracy and precision is more important than the number of attempts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So basically, you need to understand your weak spots and improvise your learning in ways to cover them up. It&#8217;s just like building a fort or a castle. If there are weak spots\/faults in the way it&#8217;s built then the fort\/castle can fall easily because of the faults.
