The\u00a0<\/span>Chairmanship<\/b>\u00a0is the highest designation of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).The\u00a0<\/span>Indian National Committee for Space Research<\/span>\u00a0(INCOSPAR)\u00a0 found in 1962 with\u00a0<\/span>Vikram Sarabhai<\/span>\u00a0as its first chairperson. The ISRO is INOSPAR in its modern form which was made by\u00a0<\/span>Vikram Sarabhai<\/span>\u00a0in 1969. Prof.\u00a0<\/span>Satish Dhawan<\/span> served the longest term of 12\u00a0years as the Chairman of ISRO, in memory of him ISRO has renamed Sriharikota Range, Sriharikota as\u00a0 Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), in 2002.<\/span><\/p>\n
