The questions in this section aim to test the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment. The questions will also be designed to test the knowledge of current events and such matters of daily observation and experience in their field of science as expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions specific to India and neighboring countries relating to the following:

- Culture,
- Geography,
- Economic scene,
- General polity,
- Indian constitution, and
- Scientific research etc.
These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
