Exam Overview

Many people aspire to secure a job and work with the government of India. Every year the Staff selection commission recruits thousands of candidates to various posts of CHSL. SSC provides vivid opportunities for these candidates through the Staff Selection Commission - Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC CHSL) Exam. More than twenty lakh candidates fill their application for SSC CHSL and the numbers are going to increase by every passing year. Candidates between the age group 18 years -27 years can apply to this exam.

Important Dates of SSC CGL 2019 Exam

As per the latest Official Calendar of SSC SSC CGL 2019-20, the tentative schedule and exam dates are as follows.

  • The notification for the SSC CGL 2019 was released on October 22, 2019, and the Application Period spanned from October 22, 2019, to November 25, 2019
  • SSC CGL Tier-01 Examination Date: March 02, 2020 to March 11,2020
  • SSC CGL Tier-02 and Tier-03 Examination Date: June 22, 2019, to June 25, 2019

SSC CGL Tier-04

Tier- 04 is a computer skill test. This test has two sections: Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

  • DEST- Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English.

DEST is only for Tax Assistants positions.

  • CPT-It is to check the candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and powerpoint presentations, etc.

Only for the posts under the Ministry of Mines and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

SSC CGL 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria

Minimum Age to apply for SSC CGL written exam is 18 years and maximum age limit is 32 years.

Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer Essential Qualification: Graduation from a recognised university or institute

Desirable Qualification: Chartered Accountancy or Cost & Management Accounting or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics
Junior Statistical Officer Essential Qualification: Graduation in any subject from a recognised university or institute with at least 60 per cent marks in Mathematics at class 12th level.

OR

Graduation in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at graduation level.

Desirable Qualification: Not applicable
Statistical Investigator Grade-II Essential Qualification: Graduation in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects subject from a recognised university or institute. The candidate must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.

SSC CGL 2019 Apply Online

The application process for SSC CGL 2019 ended on November 25. However, here are the complete eligibility criteria and the process one must follow to successfully apply for the exam in the future.

How to Apply online for SSC CGL Exam?

  • Ensure you have a valid email id, mobile number, and digital copy of your photograph, and signature.
  • Enter your basic details, including matriculation or SSLC registration number and also upload the photograph and signature.
  • Click on the save icon, your Registration Number will be displayed on the screen. Your Registration Number and Password will be sent to you on your mobile number and Email ID.
  • Login using your Registration Number as username and the password provided to you.

Application Procedure

  • Login to your SSC Account using, given Registration Number and password.
  • A new window will open for you. Here you can find “Combined Graduate Level Examination 2019“.
  • Under this section, you can find the “Apply” tab. Click on the Apply tab.
  • On the new tab, you can find your basic details, check whether any edit is required. Select three examination centers, your EWS, and Ex-servicemen status.
  • Enter your education qualification and whether you are applying for the Junior Statistical Officer or not.
  • Check the declaration at the end of the page and click on the “Preview”.

  • Recheck all your details and click on the “Submit” tab.
  • For unreserved and obc male candidates Rs. 100/ is to be paid towards the application fees, pay the fees through the online mode.
  • Your Application will get provisionally accepted by the commission.
  • Take a print out or pdf copy of them for your future references

SSC CGL 2019 Admit Card

An e-admit card or a hall ticket is a must-have to attend SSC CGL Exam. The card includes examination details such as Name of the Candidate’s Father Applicant’s Date of Birth, Name of the Written Test, Category of the candidates, Name of the Exam, Name of the Written Test, Category of the candidates, Reporting Time to the Exam Hall, Gender (Male/ Female), Roll Number, Duration of the Online Test, Space for Invigilator’s Signature & Registration Number. Every participant should bring the admit card with ID proof to the hall without which they won't be allowed to enter the hall.

The admit card is released by the Staff Selection Commission through ssc.nic.in. Once released, the candidates can go to the regional website of the commission and download tier 1, 2, 3 hall tickets before the exam date.

SSC CGL 2019 Result

After the completion of each exam tier-wise, the results will be released by the Staff Selection Commission in four stages. Once the results are announced, the candidates can check the result from the direct link to the official SSC CGL.
