A KPI dashboard is a single-screen visual display that shows the most important performance indicators for a business, team, or process. Designing one well means choosing the right KPIs, laying them out with clear visual hierarchy, and building interactivity so viewers can both scan the headlines and drill into the detail.<\/p>\n

What Is a KPI Dashboard?<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A KPI (Key Performance Indicator) dashboard consolidates the metrics that matter most \u2014 revenue targets, customer satisfaction scores, production throughput, or any other measurable goal \u2014 into a single view. In Power BI, a dashboard is a Service-only, single-page surface of pinned tiles; a report is the multi-page, fully interactive file authored in Desktop.<\/p>\n

The distinction matters: when designing a KPI dashboard, you typically build the visuals inside a Power BI report first, then pin the most critical tiles to a dashboard in the Service for at-a-glance monitoring.<\/p>\n
