Bahadur Shah Zafar or Bahadur Shah II was the last Mughal emperor. He was exiled to Rangoon after 1857 revolt. Bahadur Shah Zafar was also a noted Urdu poet, having written a number of Urdu ghazals. <\/p>\n

The court that he maintained was home to several prolific Urdu writers, including Mirza Ghalib, Dagh, Mumin, and Zauq. <\/p>\n

Mirza Ghalib was a prominent Urdu and Persian poet during the last years of the Mughal Empire. <\/p>\n

His honorific was Dabir-ul-Mulk, Najm-ud-Daula.
