The blood pressure in glomerular capillaries become very high, so that there is continuous process of ultrafiltration. Glomerular filtrate contains a large amount of water and other dissolved substances such as urea, uric acid, creatinine, amino acids, glucose, sodium, potassium, vitamins etc. About 120 mL GP is produced per minute, .i.e., approx 170L filtrate is produced in 24 hour.
