Rules for Calculating KTU Activity Points

KTU 2024 Scheme

Core Rules

  • Highest Level Only: If multiple levels are claimed for the same activity, only the highest level counts
  • Winner Priority: Cannot claim both participation and winner points for the same event
  • Per-Activity Cap: Each activity has a maximum points ceiling (maxPoints)
  • Per-Group Cap: Maximum points counted per group is capped (40 for regular, 30 for lateral, 20 for PwD)
  • Group Minimum: Minimum points must be achieved in each group to pass

Student Type Requirements

  • Regular 120 total points, minimum 40 points in each group.
    Regular B.Tech students (4-year program)
  • Lateral Entry 90 total points, minimum 30 points in each group.
    B.Tech Lateral Entry students
  • PwD 60 total points, minimum 20 points in each group.

Claiming Workflow

  1. Choose your student type first.
  2. Select the correct group and activity code.
  3. Pick the highest valid level/tier (if applicable).
  4. Add count/hours only where the activity allows repetition.
  5. Review progress summary and pending requirements.

Document Checklist

  • • Participation / winner certificates
  • • Internship completion letters
  • • Program completion proof
  • • Score cards for exam-based activities (2.24, 2.25)
  • • Report approvals / publication proof where required

English / aptitude certifications (2.24, 2.25) use approximate score bands in this app. Always align final submissions with official handbook criteria and institution verification rules.
