Swedesahabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai was born at Neyyattinkara in Trivandrum.He was the first editor ” Malayali”. It was published from Kollam and in 1906 he became editor of Swadesabhimani.His famous works are Karal Marx, Socrates, Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi, Kerala Bhasolpathi etc. “Entae Nadukadthal” is his autobiography. He was deported from Kerala due to his criticism towards Diwan P.Rajagoplachari. He died on 28 th March 1916 at Kannur. His memorial is situated at Payyambalam.
