About KTET Exam
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is an eligibility test conducted by the government of Kerala. The test is conducted twice a year at various centers within Kerala. The KTET exam is the recruitment exam to recruit the most eligible and able teachers in the primary and upper primary government schools in Kerala. The minimum educational qualification required to appear for the KTET exam is a degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks obtained from any recognised universities in Kerala. Along with the degree, the candidates should also have completed a B.Ed in the concerned subject. The candidates who wish to appear for the KTET exam should attend the 4 categories of the exam. The exam will be conducted for 150 marks with no negative marking. The exam is objective. There is no age limit to appear for the KTET exam.

There is no age limitation for the aspirants to apply for the KTET exam. The candidates who wish to apply for the exam should graduate with a minimum of 50% of marks from a recognised university along with the B.Ed completion certificate.
Here are the basic steps to apply for the KTET exam.
- Visit the official website of the KTET exam body
- Go to the home page and click on the New Registration April 2024 icon
- Submit all the basic necessary details which include the name, date of birth, gender, religion, preferred exam center and email ID
- Make sure to upload the photograph in the preferred format
- Finally, proceed to fee payment
- Take the printout of the application form submitted
The selection will be done based on the educational qualification. The candidates who wish to appear for the KTET exam should have completed the degree with 50% of marks from any recognized universities in Kerala in the concerned subject. The candidates should also possess a B.Ed in the subject concerned. You can attend the KTET exam only if you satisfy the above-mentioned conditions.
The passing percentage for the Kerala TET Certificate is 60% for general category candidates (90 out of 150 marks) and 55% for OBC/SC/ST/PH category candidates (82 out of 150 marks).
