About RRB RPF Exam

The RRB RPF exam is a national-level job recruitment examination conducted annually by the Indian Railway to recruit candidates for various posts within the Railway Protection Force. Aspirants who meet specific educational qualifications, age limits, and physical standards prescribed by the Indian Railway can apply for the recruitment. The selection process typically involves multiple stages such as a computer-based test, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, and document verification. The candidates who successfully clear all the stages with eligibility recruitment will be appointed for the post.

RRB RPF Vacancy

On March 02, 2024, the latest RRB RPF Vacancy 2024 was announced through the employment newspaper. As per the updates, the Indian Railway is conducting recruitment for 4660 Constable and Sub-Inspector vacancies in the Railway Police Force. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the available posts. The online application for RPF Recruitment 2024 will commence from April 15 to May 14, 2024. RRB RPF Selection Process

As mentioned, the selection process for RPF Vacancy 2024 includes a computer based test, physical measurement test, physical efficiency test, and document verification.

Computer Based Test

The CBT exam is a paper consisting of three different subjects - General Awareness, Arithmetic section, and General Intelligence and Reasoning session. The questions in the exam will be objective type and the level of difficulty will be equivalent to that of graduation. Each question will carry one mark. There will be negative marking in case of wrong answers which shall be around 1/3rd of the marks. No marks will be given or deducted for questions that are not attempted. Candidates will need to score approximately 35% marks (30% marks in the case of SC & ST candidates) to clear the CBT exam.

Physical Efficiently Test

After the Computer Based Test (CBT) exam, candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit list. Only those shortlisted will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Generally, around 10 times the number of vacancies appear for this stage. Clearing the PET is essential for aspirants as it is qualifying in nature.
