MAT Exam Overview

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized aptitude test that is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) in India. It is designed to evaluate a candidate's aptitude in different areas like language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, critical thinking, and general intelligence and knowledge. The test assesses a candidate's ability to think and reason logically, solve problems, and make informed decisions under time pressure.

MAT is a speed-based test, similar to other MBA entrance exams, where candidates have to answer questions in a limited time. The test is conducted in three modes - Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT) mode - to accommodate candidates with different preferences. Candidates can choose to take either a paper-based or computer-based test and can take the test in either English or Hindi. The MAT exam is conducted multiple times in four phases - February, May, September, and December - and candidates can appear for it any number of times.
