About SSC MTS Exam

Staff Selection Commission Multitasking Staff or SSC MTS exam is a non-technical examination conducted by SSC. SSC MTS Exam is a national level exam held for recruitment of personnel in General Group-C Central Service non-ministerial and non-gazetted posts in various departments, ministries, and offices of the Government of India.

The candidates shortlisted for multi-tasking staff posts are salaried with Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission with basic pay of Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1,800. SSC is going to conduct the SSC Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2024 providing job opportunities for 10th pass candidates.

Selection Process

Three steps will determine whether qualified candidates are shortlisted for the SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment. An applicant must meet the declared cutoff scores in order to advance through each step. The following three phases need to be completed:

Phase 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Phase 2: Document 1 (Main Goal)

Phase 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) (exclusive to the Havaldar position)

Salary Structure for SSC MTS

The 7th Pay Commission states that, according on the job type and designated city, the in-hand SSC MTS salary ranges from 18,000 to 22,000 per month with a pay band of (Rs. 5200 – 20200). Application fee

For SSC MTS , there is an application fee of Rs. 100. The only ways to pay for the application cost are online. These include credit/debit cards, Net-Banking, BHIM, UPI, and others.

Applicants who fall under the categories of SC, ST, PWD, or ex-servicemen are not required to pay the application fee. Furthermore, candidates who are female do not need to pay the application cost for the SSC MTS exam.

Exam Pattern
The examination of SSC MTS is conducted in 2 different levels: Paper-1, PET/PST (only for havaldar). Paper-1 is an online exam that is an objective multiple choice question type.

There will be a Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC Multi Tasking Staff Examination
There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfill in order to be eligible for the SSC MTS Exam. Before filling the applications for SSC MTS Exam, the candidates must know the minimum required Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification, and age limit. SSC MTS Educational Qualification
A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS Exam.
SSC MTS Age Limit

Canditate must be of age between 18 to 25 years.

For Havaldar, a candidate must be of a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 27 years of age.
