Overview of KPSC Civil Excise Officer Exam
The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the Civil Excise Officer Exam for those who are interested in working as a civil excise officer in the state of Kerala. The exam is held annually, and it is a highly competitive exam with a large number of applicants. The selection process includes written exams, physical fitness tests, and interviews.
The exam consists of multiple-choice questions and has a duration of one hour and 30 minutes with 100 questions. Kerala PSC Civil Excise Officer Notification 2024
The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Civil Excise Officers for the categories 739/2023, 740/2023, and 741/2023. The notification was released on December 30, 2023. The recruitment process is open to eligible candidates, who can apply for the position through the official website of KPSC, keralapsc.gov.in. The application window for the recruitment process will be open from December 30, 2023, and candidates need to apply on or before January 31, 2024.

Kerala PSC Civil Excise Inspector Eligibility Criteria 2024

Age Limit
- Minimum Age 19 Years
- Maximum Age 31 Years
- Age relaxation is provided to the reserved category candidates as per the Govt rules
Educational Qualification
- Must have passed Plus Two Examination or its equivalent
Physical Standards
The candidate should be physically fit and possess the minimum standard as given below for outdoor work.
For Male Candidates
- Candidates must possess a height of 160 cm.
- Round the chest measurement should be 81cm on full expiration and must have an expansion of 5 cm.
For Female Candidates
- Candidates must possess a height of 152 cm.
- No chest measurement required.
- For SC/ST candidates the height must be 150 cm.
- NCC Certificate holders having ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories will be given weightage marks at the rate of 2% , 3% and 5% respectively.
Visual Standards
- Color blindness, squinting, or any other pathological condition affecting the eyes or lids of either eye will result in disqualification.
- Should be devoid of apparent defects in appearance, such as knock-knees, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, uneven and projecting teeth, impaired speech and hearing, etc.

The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Civil Excise Officers for the categories 739/2023, 740/2023, and 741/2023. The notification was released on December 30, 2023. The recruitment process is open to eligible candidates, who can apply for the position through the official website of KPSC, keralapsc.gov.in. - Color blindness, squinting, or any other pathological condition affecting the eyes or lids of either eye will result in disqualification.
- Should be devoid of apparent defects in appearance, such as knock-knees, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, uneven and projecting teeth, impaired speech and hearing, etc.
