The age criteria for the UPSC CAPF Exam require candidates to fall within the age group of 20 to 25 years. Specifically for the post of Assistant Commandant, the UPSC has set the age limit to be between 20 and 25 years. However, there are relaxations in the upper age limit provided to candidates from various categories. These relaxations can be found in the table given below. To be eligible for the CAPF exam 2024, candidates must meet the following Nationality criteria:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens. Those from Bhutan and Nepal are also eligible for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Central Armed Police Force exam.
- Individuals holding citizenship of any other country are not automatically eligible for the Central Armed Police Force exam. However, they may be permitted to take the exam if they have obtained written consent from the Central Government.

- Post-operative stability: The refractive flap should have undergone a stable period for at least 6 months after the surgery.
