About CSAT Exam

The CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) is Paper II of the UPSC Preliminary Exam in India. It is a qualifying paper requiring a minimum score of 33% (66 out of 200 marks). The exam has 80 MCQs worth 200 marks, with a 2-hour limit and 1/3rd negative marking for wrong answers. It tests analytical, logical, and decision-making skills across topics like comprehension, logical reasoning, numeracy, and data interpretation. While Paper I (General Studies) determines merit for the Mains, failure to clear CSAT disqualifies the candidate from the process.
