About Kerala PSC LP-UP Exam
The Kerala PSC LP-UP Exam is a test organized by the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) to recruit Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) teachers for educational institutions within the state. This examination is to identify eligible candidates who meet the mentioned standards and exhibit the essential expertise required in teaching positions.
Are You Eligible?
  • Passed the SSLC exam by the Kerala Commissioner for Government Examinations or an equivalent exam.
  • Passed the Pre-degree exam from a Kerala university or an equivalent recognized exam.
  • Achieved a passing grade in the higher secondary exam by the Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Examinations or a government-approved comparable exam.
  • Age limit: 18-43 Years

Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following:

  • Passed the TTC exam by the Kerala Commissioner for Government Examinations.
  • Hold a degree and B.Ed, B.T, or L.T. degree from a recognized Kerala university.
  • Candidates must also have completed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) administered by the Kerala government.

Salary Scale

The net salary will comprise a basic pay of Rs. 25,200, along with additional components:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA) at 18% of the basic pay, totalling Rs. 4,536.
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA) of Rs. 1,500.
  • City Compensation Allowance amounting to Rs. 440.

Deductions will include:

  • Gratuity and Provident Fund deductions of Rs. 1,500.
  • Insurance premium deduction of Rs. 500.
  • Tax deductions of Rs. 500.
  • Pension contributions at a minimum of 10% of the basic pay, equivalent to Rs. 2,520.
