The ISRO Scientist/Engineer Exam is conducted by the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) to recruit talented engineers for one of India's most prestigious space organizations. The selection process involves two stages — a competitive written examination followed by a technical interview. To be eligible, candidates must hold a relevant engineering degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science from a recognized university or institution, meeting the specified academic requirements.

The selection process involves two stages — a competitive written examination followed by a technical interview.
1) Written Examination
- Format - Objective Test with two sections
- Duration - 120 minutes (PwBD candidates are eligible for compensation time).
- Venues: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram.
2) Personal Interview
Candidates who clear the written test will be shortlisted for an Interview in a 1:5 ratio, to assess the candidate's technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and suitability for the role.
Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix with a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month.
In addition to the basic pay, the following benefits are applicable as per prevailing rules:

- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Transport Allowance
- Medical Facilities for self and dependents

- Limited Quarters Facility (in lieu of HRA)
