This 31-year-old lady Aparna was born to a Chilean mother while her father was an American man who met her mother in Kerala, India. Aparna Mulberry got raised in India that’s why she is closely connected to the Malayali culture and traditions. Aparna Mulberry showcases her love for the Malayali language through her official Instagram handle, @invertedcoconut which she uses as a platform to train English Speaking.

She has managed to grab the attention of Malayalis in Kerala and also abroad with her posts on social media which are somewhat closely related to English learning lessons. When Aparna Mulberry was only three, her parents came to Kollam and strived for comfort in the Amritapuri Ashram. Till now, Aparna’s mother persists to live there along with her daughter-in-law’s mother. She also often keeps on visiting Aparna.

She was in Vivekananda Public School earlier, which was not an English medium school that’s why later she shifted to Amrita Vidyalayam. Aparna did her primary and higher secondary schooling in Kerala only. When not in Kerala, Aparna Mulberry lives with her Lesbian partner Amrita Sri who she later marries. Amrita Sri is a well-known cardiologist by profession. Aparna’s father is into transcendental meditation.

Aparna Mulberry is into digital marketing and also is an English teacher to students living in China and also now starting an English Speaking course at ENTRI Learning platform titled “English Padikkyam with Inverted Coconut”. Amrita Sri, her Partner, is from Spain and she met her during one of the service activities of the Amma (Amritanandamayi). Interestingly, both of them have identical stories of their past. She got her first name from Amritanandamayi.

Her brothers also have named Indian names like —Krishna and Ananda. Once she said that like my parents even Amrita’s parents were into service and spirituality-oriented activities.

Career as an English Speaking Trainer

She moved back to the United States in 2005 where she completed high school and university. When she was a student in the US, she experienced many activities and, in a program, called AmeriCorps NCCC that engages 18 to 24-year-olds in the United States in community service. As a part of the program, she has a chance to visit a few other schools for lower-income students and she adores assisting the teachers there in their classes. Some of them were not adept to handle the classes, so she would take over. That was her first-time teaching experience in her life. There, she invented a system of grouping students who were working hard and giving them special tutoring sessions, and it was very useful. The next year, in 2009, she moved back to Kerala and visited the school where she had studied in the past years. And she conducted the same system in Kerala and it worked just as well. In 2011, she drove to Thailand shortly where she performed as a tutor with a company called VIP Kid, where teachers in the US train English children in China. She functioned with the company remotely for 5 years.
