MEP Inspector Roles and Responsibilities
In this field, they are interacting directly with construction contractors and this is a field position on a general contractor team reporting to the Field Quality Manager. This role ensures to customer specifications using high quality craftsmanship.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that PPM and CM work is completed in accordance with O&M guidelines, PPM Planner and site requirements.
- Manage third party contractors/vendors to complete work orders.
- Conduct site surveys to support handover of mechanical assets from construction contractors to O&M contractors.
- You will support your team with management and manage all mechanical work required for various purposes on various assets such as utility trenches, parking lots and pumping stations.
- Check the instructions and documentation for the car to make sure they are well prepared and contain all the necessary information.
- Supervise the mechanical work done by the field contractors.
- Review and report on drawings made by contractors.
- To resolve mechanical and technical issues and other related issues, communicate and participate in meetings with contractors and other key personnel
- Assist in establishing supplier/subcontractor performance management systems.
- Performs other duties assigned by Chief Engineer / Manager / Client.
- Supports the team with mechanical asset operations and maintenance issues.
- Coordinates with consultants, contractors and subcontractors and participates in review/execution of all mechanical specifications and disciplines required for the project.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors to perform field work in accordance with design intent and supplier O&M procedures to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
- Ensure that all mechanical systems are installed in accordance with as-built drawings, specifications and required standards.
- Responsible for site work implementation and documentation.
- Attend site meetings as and when required.
- To deliver high quality, prompt, and courteous O&M services in support of the customer’s business requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.
- To liaise with the customer’s representative on Mechanically related matters.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO standards.
- Maintain and ensure QCS, QCDD, MOI, and the clients standards in day-to-day Mechanical system upgrade works.
- To meet the KPI requirements set by management from time to time.
- We ensure that all machine related areas such as work order completion, KPI and SLA are fully integrated with the customer’s CAFIM system.
- To the maintenance and upgrading of the machinery tender system, reviewing the tender documents related.
The salary for the MEP inspector ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 70,000. Salary is determined solely based on the candidate’s experience.
