Kerala PSC Overseer/Draftsman Grade II Eligibility Criteria 2025
All the aspirants with the below-mentioned eligibility shall apply for the Draftsman/Overseer Grade 2 (734/2024) post in the Public Works/Irrigation department under the Kerala Government.
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be born between 02.01.1988 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included).
- SC/ST and OBC candidates are eligible for the usual age relaxation as per government norms.
- For further details regarding age relaxation, refer to Part II Para 2 of General Conditions of the Gazette Notification.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential Educational Qualification:
(i) SSLC or its equivalent
(ii) Must possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Kerala Government Certificate Examination (2 years course) in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma in Craftsmanship in the trade of Draftsman (Civil) obtained after completing an 18-month course, followed by 6 months of practical training, at the Industrial Training Institute/Centres conducted by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour/Ministry of Skilled Development.
- Diploma (2 years course) in Civil Engineering obtained from Women’s Polytechnics.
Additional Notes:
- Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable for the post.
- Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of the Government as equivalent to the prescribed qualifications will also be acceptable, provided such equivalence is declared by government orders or standing orders. These qualifications should presuppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post.
- Candidates must produce copies of the government orders declaring equivalent or higher qualifications when required by the Commission.
- Degrees or Diplomas awarded by UGC-approved universities or institutions established through acts passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assemblies, in accordance with G.O (M.S) No. 526/PD dated 17/07/1965, are acceptable for government service appointments.

How to Apply for Kerala PSC Draftsman/Overseer Recruitment 2025?
Before applying for the post of Draftsman/Overseer Grade 2 in the Local Self Government Department (Group III LIDE Sub Group (a) Civil Wing) department, candidates must register themselves through the ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION’ in the official portal of Kerala PSC. - Candidates creating a new profile must upload a recent photograph taken within the last 6 months.

Application Submission
