KTET Recruitment 2024 Apply Online
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is a state-level examination conducted twice a year to evaluate the eligibility of candidates for the recruitment of Primary Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in Kerala state. KTET Eligibility Criteria 2024
The candidates who are applying for the KTET examination must have certain KTET Eligibility criteria. The given below are the details that the candidates need to keep in their minds. The category wise education qualification consider for the candidates in 2024 are given below.
KTET QualificationÂ
Lower primary ( Classes 1-5)- Category I
Must pass Higher Secondary/ Higher Secondary or equivalent at least with 45% and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2002
OR
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Upper primary ( Classes 6-8)- Â Category II
B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com. and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) [by whatever name known] conducted by the Board of Exam, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.Â
OR
BA/ B.Sc. / B.Com with at least 45% marks and one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed.
High School classes- Category III
The test is for HSAs in: (i) Malayalam (ii) English (iii) Hindi (iv) Sanskrit (v) Tamil (vi) Kannada (vii) Arabic (viii) Urdu (ix) Social Science (x) Physical Science (xi) Natural Science and (xii) Mathematics
BA/ BSc/ B.Com with marks of at least 45% and a B.Ed. A degree in the subject concerned (from any of the universities in Kerala or from any other university recognised as equivalent)
For those who have MSc. Ed. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, A degree with not less than 50 per cent of the marks of one of the Regional Institutes of Education funded by NCERT will be eligible to apply for the subject matter concerned. For the subjects of Botany and Zoology, those with MSc. Ed., Ed. It is possible to apply for a Degree in Life Science with not less than 50 per cent marks from any of the Regional Institutes of Education.
Candidates from SC/ST and differently-abled categories will be provided with a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates from OBC & OEC categories will be given a relaxation of 3% in the qualifying marks to appear for the K-TET III.
Language Teachers( Sanskrit, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi), Physical education teachers, Specialist teachers( arts, crafts)- Category IV
For Language teachers in Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers and Physical Education teachers (up to High School level)
Those who hold qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers, and Physical Education instructors as specified in Chapter XXXI of the Kerala Education Act and Rules are eligible to apply for K-TET IV.
Candidates from the SC/ST and differently-abled categories will be granted a 5% exemption in the qualifying marks required to take the K-TET IV.

How to Apply for KTET 2024?
The given below are the steps that the candidates can follow so as to apply for Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan KTET 2024.Â
- Candidates go through the notification and prospectus before the Registration process.
- Click on the link given below for starting the registration process @Â ktet.kerala.gov.in
- Enter present working details and choose your preferred Category.
- Enter the Medium of Language and Qualification details.
- After that, enter your basic details and the Aadhaar number.
- Upload a scanned image of the latest photograph and signature in JPG format.
- After Final Confirmation, submit the application.
- Take the printouts to keep the Application No, Application ID for future,
- Make fee payment through SBI E-Pay. Rs. 500/- for all categories and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST.

Guidelines to Upload a Photograph
- The photo to be uploaded can be in Color/ black and white.
- No need to specify your name and the date of the photograph.
- The face and shoulder of the candidate should be clearly visible
- Selfie will not be accepted.
- Photo should be of 200 pixels height and 150 pixels width
- The file size should not exceed 30kb and it should be in JPG format
- The background of the photo should be either light-colored or white in color
- The eyes should be open
- Face should be centrally focused
- Photograph wearing cap goggles, (except cap, veil worn in adherence to religious custom), photographs showing a portion of the face, photo with unclear face shall not be accepted.
- Photograph with the seal of KPSC or any other will not be accepted
KTET 2024 Admit Card
The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) hall ticket for the 2024 exam will be made available for download from June 3, 2024, onwards. The KTET exam is conducted by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan to test the eligibility of candidates who wish to become teachers in the state of Kerala.
To download the admit card, candidates must visit the official website of Pareeksha Bhavan and log in using their registration number and date of birth. The admit card will contain important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, date and time of the exam, and other instructions.
It is essential to carry the printed copy of the admit card to the exam center on the day of the KTET exam. Please note that no physical admit card will be sent via email, and candidates must download it from the official website only.
