What is the GATE Exam?
The GATE syllabus includes subjects in 29 subjects covering all major fields of engineering, from aerospace engineering to textile engineering, among many others. GATE has two types of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Questions. MCQs and numerical questions count for 1 or 2 marks in all papers and sections. Although there are negative marks for MCQ questions (1 mark question, wrong answer deducts 1/3 mark and 2 mark question, 2/3 marks deducted). There is no negative mark for the question number. The exam takes place online.
