Proudly Announced the 36th National Games of India will be held in Gujarat from September 27 to October 10, 2022. After a gap of seven years, most prestigious multi-discipline sporting event will be held in cities like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
Union Home Minister of India, Amit Shah unveiled the mascot and anthem for the National Games 2022 at the EKA Arena, TransStadia in Ahmedabad. The inaugural function of the National Games will be held at the Narendra Modi stadium. The nation’s athletic event is being held in the state for the first time. The 35th edition of national games which was held in Kerala.

- Kabaddi, Netball, Lawn Bowls, and Rugby 7s begin before the opening ceremony.
- The mascot of the national games 2022 is Saavaj, which means lion in Gujarati and the anthem for the games has been rendered by Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh.

36th National Games 2022- Venue
National Games 2022 will commence in six cities in Gujarat on September 27 and the multi-discipline event will continue till October 10. Around 8,000 athletes will take part in 36 sporting disciplines in the Games. The cycling event will be held in New Delhi. Indigenous sports Mallakhamba and Yogasana have been included in the event roster to promote the country’s sporting heritage.
