The tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh was born as Gobind Rai. He was a great warrior, poet, philosopher and spiritual master. It was at the early age of nine that he became the leader and protector of the Sikh community soon after his father, Guru Tegh Bahadur who was the ninth Guru, was executed by Aurangzeb.
