Air Force Common Admission Test or AFCAT is an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Air Force for recruiting eligible candidates for multiple posts in both Flying and Ground Duty ( Technical and Non Technical). The Indian Air Force released the notification for this year’s examination on the 1st of December. To be selected and to achieve this honorable and dignified post needs real hardwork and dedication. AFCAT 2022: Entrance Examination Pattern

AFCAT Entrance examination is conducted twice every year and is attempted by millions of aspirants to work in the Indian Air Force. Different section in the Exam are as follows:

It is mandatory for all the aspirants to attend the written test of AFCAT and the aspirants applying for Technical posts are supposed to attend the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

Each right answer carries +3 marks and -1 for a wrong answer. There will be no negative marking for unanswered questions.

AFCAT 2022 – Exam Syllabus 

The aspirants preparing for the Air Force Common Admission Test must begin with their preparation with the latest AFCAT Syllabus for cracking the test. Syllabus for this years AFCAT is as follows:

General Awareness 

The syllabus for the section consists of topics from Indian History, Politics, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Current Affairs. The level of question ranges from easy to moderate.

Verbal Ability in English 

The syllabus for the section consists of at least 20 questions and the level is from moderate to difficult. Questions from comprehension, synonym and antonym, idioms and phrases, Error spotting comes under this section.

Numerical Ability and Reasoning Section 

Questions from this section would be asked from Series, Venn Diagram, Syllogism, Blood Relation, Non Verbal questions, Verbal reasoning, military aptitude etc.

Military Aptitude Test 

Questions from Mathematics sections of Number system, HCF and LCM, Time, Distance and Speed, Time and Work, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, Simple Interest and Compound Interest,etc.

AFCAT EKT 2022 – Exam Syllabus 

AFCAT EKT syllabus is slightly different from the AFCAT Non Technical syllabus. The following are the important sections for EKT.

• Fundamental Engineering Syllabus : Engineering Physics, Engineering Mathematics, and Engineering Drawing

• Computer Science Engineering : Information Technology, Network Theory Design, Analog, and Digital Electronics, Computer Networks, Switching Theory, and Electronic Devices

• Mechanical Engineering : Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics/Hydraulic Machines, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science, Thermodynamics, Manufacturing Science, and Machine Drawing.

• Electrical & Electronics Engineering : Microwave Engineering, Analog, and Digital Electronics, Electronic Devices, Telecommunication Systems, Microwave Engineering, Control Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
