AFCAT 2022 – Answer Key 

The Answer Key for AFCAT 1 2022 examination will be released on the IAF official website a day or 2 two after the completion of the test. It contains answers for the objective questions with maximum marks for each. It will be available for download in PDF format from the official link provided in the AFCAT website. Answer Key helps in predicting the score of the candidate as well as provides a gist of their merit list ranking. The procedure to download the Answer Key is as follows :

1.  Visit the official website of AFCAT.
2. Click on the link “ AFCAT Answer Key 2022 ” 
3. Enter the required credentials for candidate login such as ID and password.
4. Click the Submit button 
5. Answer key for AFCAT for the chosen shift will be available in pdf format.
6. Click the Download button to save the Answer Key for future use.
7. Check your scores with the help of the marking scheme provided by IAF.

AFCAT 2022 – Marking Scheme

Every candidate should be well aware of the marking scheme of AFCAT before preparing and presenting for the test. Exam pattern and marking scheme will be explained in detail in this article.

IAF calls in candidates to apply for 3 branches every year which are Flying branch, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branch. According to the selected branch there are 2 written test papers to attempt which are AFCAT and EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test).  Candidates with one of the choices as Technical branch will be the only ones to attempt the EKT paper. The time duration for AFCAT is 120 min and 45 min for EKT. 

As detailed in the table AFCAT paper contains a total of 100 objective questions and EKT paper with a total of 50 objective questions. There are no subjective questions asked in the AFCAT and EKT test. Each correct answer carries 3 marks. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. No mark for unattempted questions. Thus to calculate total score, the following formula can be used.

Total marks Scored = ( 3 marks x No. of Correct Answers) – No. of Incorrect Answers

Any score in the range of 140 – 160 marks is considered a good score for AFCAT and anything between 40 -60 marks is considered a good score for EKT paper. 

AFCAT 2022 – How To Raise Objection for Answer Key

Discrepancy in the published Answer Key by IAF can create trouble and complications. Under such circumstances, a candidate can raise an objection if they find a discrepancy in the answer key. The objection can be disclosed to the  IAF Board by sending an email explaining the discrepancy. A document verifying that the answer in the key is incorrect or any document proving the right answer should be attached along with the email for the review by the board. IAF will review the same and make required changes with the answer key. Required modification will be done and a new or revised answer key will be published.
